Cheaper by the Dozen is a 2022 American family-comedy film. A remake of the 1950 and 2003 films of the same name, the project was inspired by the real-life Gilbreth family and the semi-autobiographical account of their lives as written in the 1948 novel Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and his sister Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. The film will be directed by Gail Lerner with a script co-written by Kenya Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry.
Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Cheaper by the Dozen had its world premiere at the El Capitan Theatre on March 16, 2022, and was released on Disney+ on on March 18, 2022. It received negative reviews from critics.
