About the Author
Tanya Landman studied for a degree in English Literature at Liverpool University before working in a bookshop, an arts centre and a zoo. Tanya won the Carnegie Medal in 2015 with Buffalo Soldier and is renowned for her thought-provoking novels set in nineteenth-century America. Tanya lives in Devon. Sònia Albert is an illustrator from Mataró, a Mediterranean city near Barcelona. She started her illustration journey after finishing a degree in Audiovisual Communication, and moved to the UK to attend the prestigious Children's Book Illustration MA course at the Cambridge School of Art. She currently merges pencil drawings with her digital art, and was shortlisted for the Sebastian Walker Prize 2020.
